The cyclists and engineers in our design team is aiming to offer the best choice for those who enjoy climbing mountain passes as well as riding at high speeds. A very light weight wheel is the only way to achieve a competitive CX factor and a smooth and easy ride.
A 38mm profile on the front wheel to anchor the ride on up-hills, and a 50mm profile on the rear wheel for a better CX and inertia factor, provided the best overall ride for a wide combination of roads.
The combination of the two wheels (38mm+50mm) offer an exceptionally low weight wheelset. Professional cyclists are currently opting for this choice the year’s racing calendar.
As with our ZeroCx range, the wheels have a 3k carbon clincher spec for the forces applied to this type of wheel. The best tubular tyre choice is, however, the UD finish.
ZeroOptimal is our most popular wheel, since it offers lightness, rigidity and versatility all in one package.
ZeroCx hubs
Central to our entire range of ZeroCx wheels is our custom spec hub. Built out of high resistance aluminium it offers a high quality, highly solid structure. The sealing system is exclusive and easy to maintain, together with high spec ceramic bearings provide extremely reliable and smooth riding. Our development program is continually improving the smoothness of our wheel ride, reliability and safety.
The front hub has a weight of 65g, together with a sober and elegant design. The rear hub has a weight of 210g, a robust hub casing for greater rigidity. Both hubs weigh in at just 275g.
Both our hubs have been subject to the full resistance and endurance quality assurance tests, and have strength and reliability specifications way beyond the current standard requirements.

The ZeroCx skewers match the high performance and quality standards of the hubs. Made of titanium they weigh just 45g (the pair).
ZeroCx Assembly
Wheel assembly is a manual pRear wheel weightrocess conducted at our factory in northern Spain. Each is hand checked and put through our internal QA process, before being signed off by the engineer.
Carbon
ZeroCx wheel rims are constructed with the most advanced carbon material on the market, achieving amongst the highest lightness, rigidity and safety levels in the market.
Our choice of carbon components and suppliers have 20 years of R&D from aeronautics and aviation sectors, and achieve the highest levels of Quality Standards. ZeroCx has supplied and partnered with prestigious international brands from several sectors.
The range of wheels have been tested and fine tuned over thousands of miles, and different types of road. The cumulative R&D has allowed us to design the highest specification wheels for the different training, terrain and race needs of professional and advanced amateur cyclists.

In all our products we have adapted the carbon finish to the wheel type. The UD carbon is lightweight and flexible, and the wheels absorb shocks and vibration well. 3K carbon has more substance, providing a more solid and rigid structure than other types of carbon. Each wheel in our ZeroCx range is designed with the most suitable type of carbon type.
Spoke and spoke nipples
The spoke holes in the rim are drilled at the exact angle required by its position on the wheel hub. The spokes, spoke nipples are sourced from the highest specification manufactures in the market. The wire gauge on the spokes has been selected and tested to provide high strength, aerodynamic profile, high fatigue resistance while adding a minimum of weight on the wheel .

The spokes selected are stainless steel and withstand tension of up-to 1600N/mm². The inox 18/8 grade stainless steel and the polyax aluminium on the spoke nipples provide good shock absorbing properties together with durability. The central length of the spokes are flattened to lower wind resistance at high wheel speeds.
